The Architects, David Highet of Axminster, required a curved roof to be blanketed with sedum and in addition, large over hangs to allow protected material handling off the loading bays. This resulted in complicated two directional curves which had to be carefully designed and fabricated. This was developed in the workshop with the local steel fabricator, Quicks Engineering. The internal column layout was set to minimize hazard to facilitate the free movement of forklifts and other barrel handling equipment.
